Purpose with Passion - helping all students achieve and succeed!

""Leon County Title I Program receives funds under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 to provide supplemental instruction to students of public schools, neglected or delinquent sites, non-public schools, and homeless children. Supplemental services are provided for students in a school-wide program at Apalachee, Astoria Park, Bond, Hartsfield, Oak Ridge, Pineview, Riley, Ruediger, Sabal Palm and Woodville Elementary Schools, Steele-Collins Charter School, Ft. Braden K-8 Program, Griffin and Nims Middle Schools, Second Chance, 100 Success Academy, PACE for Girls, and Godby High School. All K-8 Title I schools have 75% or higher and high schools have 61% or more of their students on free or reduced lunch, as determined by an Annual Economic Survey.

Services are also provided to all students at eligible neglected or delinquent sites including Capital City Youth Services, Father Flanagan's Boy's and Girl's Town of North Florida, Florida Baptist Children's Home, Homeless,  Leon County Juvenile Detention Center, Leon County Jail, and AMI Kids.

  • Leon County Title I school plans are written by individual school sites and are directly correlated to the School Improvement Plan.
  • Schools in Leon County use Title I funds to support federal, state and local goals reflected in individual school plans. Teachers, parents, administrators, students, and all stakeholders are involved in the development and implementation of each school's plan.
  • A school Parent Involvement Plan ensures strong parental involvement at each school. Required parent notifications including a Student Parent and School Compact enhances parent involvement and understanding of the important role parents play in their child’s education.
